The Perpetual ROI
The calendar expires Dec 31, 2027; the 3D interactive story lives on forever as Mian Abbas's B2B sales presentation weapon.
Validating the Benchmark:
VEGANA 2027 ➔ The Qatari Evolution
We studied Mian Abbas's reference: the dual-use desk sculpture with an architectural base and 12 debossed coasters is brilliant. Here is how Happens Agency elevates it from a generic European mockup into Qatar’s flagship diplomatic keepsake.
📌 The VEGANA 2027 Reference
- Solid Base & Wire Frame: Solved desk sculpture ergonomics (weighted plinth with angled wire frame).
- Dual-Use Mechanic: 12 thick tiles that function as calendar dates, then migrate permanently to the tabletop as coasters.
- Generic Western Scope: Wine industry grapes, American corn, apples, pineapples — zero connection to Doha or Arabian heritage.
- Supply-Chain Fiction: A 3D render relying on 12 imported proprietary foreign bio-leathers that cannot be procured for 500 units in Doha.
✦ The Papercut 2027 Phygital Elevation
- Qatari Cultural Provenance: Spent Gahwa coffee, Date Palm fronds, Karak tea, and Al Thakira mangroves celebrating Qatar National Vision 2030.
- Factory Feasibility: Engineered for Papercut’s 14 Doha production lines using high-density 550–600 gsm duplex upcycled boards.
- The Phygital Leap: Replacing static printed paper with an invisible NFC-enabled brass plaque connected to a WebGL 3D Materials Pavilion.
- Institutional Pedigree: Designed to meet the curatorial standards of the National Museum of Qatar and Ministry VIP gifts.
The 2-Sided Architecture:
Product Anatomy & The Perpetual Loop
Why Mian Abbas found us: Velaca’s award-winning EQUO packaging proved that products don't have to end in wastebaskets. The EQUO Plantable Pencil proved that a tool's end-of-life can sprout new life. We apply that exact 2-sided circular design methodology to Papercut 2027.
30 days displayed prominently in the brushed brass easel on executive desks.
Slide the rigid 550 gsm tile from the frame at month-end — no messy tearing.
Food-grade plant oleophobic coating resists hot Gahwa/Karak and cold iced drinks.
Reverse-side cultural deboss lives permanently on the desk as an art tile.
Organic waste collected locally: coffee grounds, palm prunings, bagasse.
Pulping, hydraulic pressing, and die-cutting on Papercut's 14 Doha lines.
Imprinting calendar typography and intricate Arabian botanical reliefs.
Zero plastic. Natural fibers decompose into compost, nourishing the soil to repeat the cycle.
The 12-Month Circular Materials Roster
To save time, Happens Agency formulated the complete 12-material menu balancing Papercut’s existing factory lines, Qatari ecological heritage, and Abbas’s upcycling research. Click any month below to inspect its story.
Spent Coffee (Gahwa) & Cardamom Pulp
Doha's morning Majlis hospitality reclaimed. Over 10 tons of spent espresso grounds and cardamom husks collected from specialty Doha cafes, solar-dried, and blended with unbleached Qatari paper pulp to produce a fragrant, rich terracotta 550 gsm board.
Reverse Art Tile & Coaster Utility
Front features minimalist gold-foil calendar days; reverse features deep blind-debossed geometry of the traditional Arabian coffee pot (Dallah) and coffee plant branches.
The Desk Sculpture: Crafted for Prestige
Engineered to be displayed alongside fountain pens and luxury timepieces. The physical hardware is robust, timeless, and completely reusable for future years.
The Architectural Base
Weighted matte black plinth (70% recycled phenolic composite or dark stained beechwood) with anti-slip silicone feet and a concealed internal magnetic channel.
Dimensions: 110 × 90 × 22 mmBrushed Brass Easel Wire
Solid 3.5mm champagne gold or raw brass wire frame angled at exactly 75° for glare-free desk reading. Cradles all 12 monthly tiles simultaneously.
Finish: Satin PVD Brushed BrassCollector Gift Presentation Box
2mm rigid matte black box with gold eco-foil debossing, magnetic flip lid, and custom die-cut paper insert cradling the base, the 12 tiles, and the deckle-edged story card.
500 Numbered Edition Seals
The Invisible Digital Bridge:
Tap-to-Discover (No Ugly QR Codes)
Printing a grocery barcode on handcrafted upcycled art destroys luxury value. We engineered an invisible digital bridge that preserves the pristine beauty of the physical calendar.
The NFC Brass Plaque Touch
A precision-engraved brushed brass nameplate on the front of the black plinth reading PAPERCUT FACTORY · 2027 conceals a high-frequency NTAG213 micro-transponder directly beneath.
The Museum Archival Seal
For non-NFC devices or gift recipients reading the box certificate, a subtle micro-QR is blind-debossed within a circular museum authenticity seal on the reverse of the deckle-edged Story Card.
The Digital Experience: Option 1 3D Materials Pavilion
The living digital twin of Option 1: The Circular Timepiece. Rotate the 95mm circular bio-coaster in 360°, inspect the 8-stage alchemy ring, explore the hydrophobic bio-wax seal, and cycle through the 3-phase regenerative transformation.
Inspect Option 1 in Interactive 3D WebGL
A true 1:1 real-time 3D model of Uyen's hero design. Features the authentic 95mm circular pop-out geometry, the 8-stage industrial alchemy ring, procedural spent Gahwa coffee fiber grain, and the dual-sided Qatari cultural medallion.
